Attributed to: William Price the Younger

A late 18th century stained glass tracery panel, leaded with deep blue, ruby red and green acid etched “Pot Metal” glass. Also hand painted with enamel and silver stain paints depicting stylised rosettes, leaves and flowers. Leaded around are clear diamond quarries of similar date but added later. Slight restoration and now in a pine frame. Can be used vertical or horizontal.

William Price, the younger (d. 1765), like his father and grandfather, was a glass painted and made several windows for Winchester College, New College, Oxford, Westminster Abbey, London and for Horace Walpole at Strawberry Hill. Price died in London, on 16 July 1765. The works of the Price family are of considerable interest with regard to the history of glass-painting in England.
